What You’ll Do
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building the core infrastructure and backend systems that power Coral’s intelligent automation platform. You’ll:
Design, build, and scale Python-based backend services and workflow engines.
Work closely with ML engineers to integrate models into production pipelines.
Build APIs to connect our platform with EHRs, third-party systems, and UI clients.
Develop robust systems for task orchestration, data processing, and agent communication.
Implement secure, compliant, and scalable data storage and retrieval systems (think: patient records, documents, structured data).
Contribute to DevOps, CI/CD, and deployment practices as part of a small, fast-moving team.
What We're Looking For
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in building the core infrastructure and backend systems that power Coral’s intelligent automation platform. You’ll:
3–7 years of hands-on experience with backend engineering, preferably in Python.
Deep experience with modern web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and API design.
Solid grasp of async programming, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
Experience building and scaling production systems on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Strong skills in PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar databases.
Comfort with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
Bonus: Exposure to healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR), HIPAA compliance, or integrating with EHRs.
